Thanks to Bob Brown (Which? Gardening) for mentioning these gloves. They are great for those fiddly, dirty, gardening jobs (hand weeding etc) where ordinary gardening gloves are far too big and clumsy to use, while naked hands risk nettle stings etc.

I first bought Showa Assembly Grip Gloves for gardening and they have been very useful, so I thought I would try them as an alternative glove for dinghy sailing. Standard sailing gloves have toughened palms to protect your hands whilst handling control lines and sheets (ropes) and have exposed fingertips for fine touch. I bought a small size for a tight fit and they proved excellent, The nitrile coating helps grip on the ropes and it is possible to untie knots etc. without removing the gloves. They are seamless and flexible. They are also quite a bit cheaper than sailing gloves.

Second purchase of these gloves having been used in the garden. First pair bought after a good "Which?" report. Very hard wearing.

The different prices across the range of gloves and the descriptions lead me to believe some would have thicker rubber protection than others. So I ordered a selection, that all turned out to be the same.
Still very good gloves, but would just select the cheaper of the range.

Saw these gloves at Hampton Court Flower Show but had already ordered them online. They are not obtrusive and feel like a second skin so even seed sowing is easy. Recommended by Bob Brown at Cotswold Garden Flowers and well worth the money. I bought two pairs.
