Ok, so I've got no problems with the hero dying in a tv show or movie, but in a video game? Apart from being a bum end to all the work you put in to complete a game, it seriously affects replay value. Does anyone think diffrent?

I agree, especially in an RPG people have been following for 6 years. It's really not much fun to be railroaded into a downbeat ending, and in general the ME3 experience became far to linear, choices from ME1 & 2 were ignored which was hugely disappointing.

It would be okay if there was some closure, everything has to end. If it was the best of a few terrible choices, and as a direct result of all those hours you'd been playing and making choices, but I see they are bringing out ME4 which makes me think it was all for nothing.
