I certainly do not agree with the other review of this fine product. I thought it was put together with love and all the splendour that this wonderful album and artist deserve. All of the b-side tracks are included as well as the cover art and photos. What i'm trying to say, is they left nothing out. The sound quality is suppurb, the glossy booklet is quite fine as are the informative liner notes. This is a must have for all Peter Murphy and Bauhaus Fans.

Comments of the other reviewer noted. Just thought it would be useful to know that this is a very good remaster, not a victim of the loudness war like many Cherry Red releases. I have noticed that Cherry Red seem to be getting much better.

I have to say that I'm disappointed with it. Firstly, the photo of Peter superimposed over the original STWFTFA artwork on the back cover is quite frankly "amateur". The booklet could have been much better as well as the notes which are too brief and as a result read incomplete in relation to the track listing. Disc Two, Track 09 states Final Solution (club mix) however it is not the Club mix version. It is in actual fact an unreleased entirely different mix of Final Solution. Unfortunately Final Solution (club mix) does not appear on this reissue. And lastly, in my opinion Jemal (version 2) should have been the final track. It feels out of place positioned as track 10. This could have been a great reissue instead it is a reissue without heart!

The Never Man at His Best 30 Jun. 2013

In my opinion, the penultimate achievement of New Wave- Art Rock, this forgotten classic evokes Dorian Grey, confessions of a mask, lies and truths, final solutions, and disenchanted superstars. Murphy's literary lyrics and excellent band (the basis of his later 'Hundred Men') gives this well produced effort interest for continued listening, even though we may have worn out the cassette tape so many years ago. This new remaster brings out details never heard before, plus a bounty of the related remixes, alternate versions, and bonus tracks. Very much recommended to any Bowie, Bauhaus, Ultravox, Cure, New Wave or new-edge rock fan who may come across it.
