Shojiro Koyama is the Regional Director of Western Region Rank: 8 th Dan with the ISKF. The book demonstrates the value of traditional karate for modern men & women, not as a sport for their diversion, but as a life long endeavour for their physical & mental well being.

The book demonstrates exercises for conditioning. Also techniques for stretching & strengthening hips, legs & ankles. Help in improving focus of basic blocks, strikes, kicks & sweeps.

Illustrated throughout with large photos. This book provides the guidence which, with regualr training, promotes the good health & a sound mental attitude necessary for a long & pleasant life.

It is an excellent source of the daily exercise necessary for a healthy body, improving & maintaining good circulation, a clear complexion & proper functioning of the automatic nervous system. Also it helps with developing confidence, discipline & control.

A little dated perhaps, but we're all mere products of our own histories.
