5.0 out of 5 stars Shostakovich 2nd piano Concerto 17 Mar 2011
Format:Audio CD
I was familiar with this recording, I wanted it, you had it at a reasonable price, delivery time from order was short and the CD was delivered in good order.
The usual good service I have come to expect from Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stirring and a fine recording. 25 Jun 2000
Format:Audio CD
The composer, his son & his grandson feature on this recording. This is a family piece with personal musical jokes. Crisp, clear with great dynamics. This is one of Shostakovich's less known works deserving to be heard more often.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best recording of this concerto 28 Mar 2013
Format:Audio CD
talk about keeping it in the family! Composer is grandad, conductor is Dad and pianist is son(grandson). The second slow movement has to be the most beautiful haunting melody ever heard, exquisitly played by Dmitri. I had to have it.
