Very compact little book which is easy to carry. I particularily liked the O.S. mini maps printed for each walk. Although I had bought a full IOW O.S. map this was cumbersome and printed on BOTH sides.
My first time on the island and this book introduced me to the many beautiful and scenic spots
The format for each walk is very helpful: Start; Distance; Time; Parking; Features; GPS Waypoints; Public Transport; Refreshments; Toilets.
The refreshment details were also marked on the maps - very useful when in a unfamiliar area!
Bear in mind this book is titled "Short Walks" and indeed the longest is only 5½ miles but on this beautiful island the order of the day is stopping at each scenic view NOT mile-slogging.

Sampled walk one soon after taking deliver and if that's anything to go by, a good result.

Not K9 stuff, more family orientated without the backpack and Kendal Cake. Ideal for the spare hour or so. Handy size and well layed-out offering a minimum of four pages of text, pics and OS map for each of the 20 walks. Other useful information given on local history & geology, with GPS points added.

Interestingly, since publication, the details relating to the Isle of Wight Tourism Office are from a different age (as is the Isle as a whole, thankfully) as there is no Tourism Offices anywhere on the Island due to closure. Strange when you consider that it's economy must be greatly influenced by visitors!

I purchased 'Isle of Wight: Short Walks' for a week's holiday with my partner on the Isle of Wight in April of this year. The size of the guide was ideal - just right to put in a large pocket. Most of the walks we did were well-described so that we could follow them with ease, and the variety of scenery on the walks was good. Unfortunately, for Walk No 20 there had evidently been a diversion of a footpath since the guide was written such that we got rather lost. This walk was also the least interesting from a scenic point of view. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this guide.
