Wanting to discover the area around Fort William, this small book allows alot of ideallic places to become suddenly visible.
The book is great in gauging the 20 walks for almost anyone who can walk, with details of length, time and what to expect along the way. It really does allow walks for all ages too and with exception to a few, can be completed fairly comfortably.
It would have been a better enticement with more photo's inside the book, but the small photo's and ordnance survey type images, certainly help keep you orientated and directed. You don't any special compass or large maps to bring with you, this book will keep you on the straight and narrow and the comments for each point along the route help you engage with the surroundings too.
There is enough in here for a fortnights holiday and travelling the nearby countryside of Fort William, without even tackling the huge Ben Nevis. You can walk to see the Hogwarts Express on the Glenfinnan Viaduct if you time your journey well though.. and that's only one walk!
