A wait worth welling,

She shouldn't have done this to us. Disappearing for so long and leaving us scraping around with little half remembered snippets of video going on in our heads and oh so few marvelously crafted pieces of musical machinary chugging their way around our CD players... But apparently it wasn't her fault. Lesley Rankine has herself been the victim of the faceless beurocracy that stops talented somebodies on the whim of powerful nobodies. But she's managed to get her album out at last. And hasn't it been worth the wait.! I felt like the boy who has been bursting for the toilet all the way home and finally gets to do his pee. From the first discordant hits of 'Beefheart' till the Lounge Music on hallucinogenics of 'Fuse Again' the album takes us on a rollercoaster of musical styles. But with all the Musical Style of Lesley Rankine shining through - simultaneously tantalising us and tormenting us while rubbbing our back at the same time. It's hard to explain really. She's just special.

I am a great fan of some of the old stuff, and if you thought she was diverse in the last album, one of the tracks has a jungle beat to it on this new one !REALLY good stuff, would recommend it to anyone
