5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Stories 17 Sept. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've been blessed with excellent short story collections recently. This is one of my favourite discoveries. The stories are great, well written, enjoyable to read, and a perfect introduction to Stephen Leather's work. They convey the flavour of the author's full-length fiction.

The promotional aspect (with frequent "buy my books" messages) is a bit strong for my taste at times. The book is free, so I won't complain about this; I just want to mention it because it may grate on some readers' nerves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Four stories leave u wanting more BUT 27 Oct. 2014
By Bro
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Four stories are really well written and it is because of these four that I am giving the book five stars.

But then the book proceeds to give u the initial first chapters of more books which I found myself flicking through. When I like an author I will seek the books myself not have a huge chunk of time reading first chapters.
