Icannot believe that no-one has reviewed this amazing album before now, unless everyone, like me ,assumes that it has already received the highest possible praise.Gordon Gunn's techniques(sic)demonstrate a complete mastery of the fiddle from delicate pathos to pyrotechnics in a mixture of cajun meets traditional Scottish meets Grapelli via Kennedy!! Incredible fingering reminiscent of a circus trapeze artiste-just when you're sure he's going to crash to the ground he soars seemingly effortlessly to safety-the marque of true and natural talent.
On the album he is complemented by Phil Anderson and Billy Peace(brilliant musicians in their own right who need no introduction to traditional aficionados),with guests Ian Mackay andAndy Thorburn .
Ithoroughly recommend this recording,as someone who has been involved in the music business & as a player for many years, and await the next album with impatience.
