This is a great CD, it dips into a variety of world music types, a bit of jazz, a bit of high life, some Spanish influences, some North African Influences. It's simply a goody bag of great tracks by artists who just don't take life too seriously.

lively, exotic 1 Dec. 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
After seeing them live, we were thankful to find an album of their work. If you ever get a chance to see them, do it. It was our first exposure to what some might call 'world music'. Being ardent rock fans it was great to hear novel and non obvious music. Some parts might be a trifle silly, but this is largely offset by mysterious aspects, especially when they are singing in languages other than english. Needless to say, they have put us on a quest to find similar sounds.

Excellent "world music" 10 Dec. 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
The Mustaphas rule the world. Though their tongues may be placed firmly in their cheeks, they are at the same time serious about their music, and play it superbly. Highly recommended.

Good, but not the group's best 22 Aug. 2007
By Matthew Kell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a very good album, as would be expected from a group as talented as this one, but it doesn't quite make it to the level of "Soup of the Century" or "Heart of Uncle" in my opinion. "Xamenh Evtexia Fizn" is tons of fun, and "Musafir" is a captivating ballad, but the album as a whole lacks the cohesiveness of the two aforementioned albums. This is an album best suited to ardent 3 Mustaphas 3 fans.
