By The Truth TOP 100 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Blu-ray
Guns, guns, guns, guns, and guns. Bullets, guns, bullets and guns. That just about sums up this film. You don't have to think, you just have to watch and laugh as each scene gets more ludicrous than the last, and the body & bullet count gets higher and higher.

The opening scene pretty much sets the tone of the film, when a bad guy gets killed with a carrot (an odd choice for the only other weapon to feature in this film). From that you can pretty much tell in what direction the film is going to go: completely-riduclous-over-the-top-nonsense-genius-enjoyable-rubbish.

The Bluray transfer's good - it's not the best I've seen - but it's pretty good, and all in all, this was the perfect film to watch with a can of beer, a few mates and a pizza. It's that sort of film.

If you want to watch 100s of guys getting shot in ever increasingly creative ways then this is the film for you. It's switch on the box, switch off the brain entertainment that does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of it's so unbelievable you don't know whether to laugh or applaud. In the end you'll end up doing both.

By Mr. James West TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Blu-ray
An enjoyment of films often depends on an ability called 'suspension of disbelief.' You couldn't suspend it any further than this if you hung it out of an aeroplane. My son suggested that the filmmakers came up with a series of the most implausible gunfights ever, and then tried to find a storyline to join them together.

So if you like mindless violence, implausible plots and testosterone fuelled showdowns, then this one might well be for you.

Picture Quality is very good, with strong features and detail. There is a little grain, but that doesn't detract from the film and adds to the atmosphere. I don't usually bother much about extras, but there is a documentary on how the film was made that is well worth a look. All the extras I looked at appeared to be in HD as well, which is good - many films have the extras in SD.

The movie I would have made in high school
This is one of the worst movies ever. I saw this in the theater and also watched it again recently (parts of it), and while I love the leads (Clive Owen & Paul Giamatti), this... Read more

Not to be taken at face value
from the start I saw this film as a parody of action movies - and thus it makes for great fun! It's about the same type of humour as the Black Knight of Monty Python's fame trying... Read more

snobs beware
This is a piece of celluloid sin, a decadent action movie that is so creative and inventive that all its obvious flaws are completely overshadowed by the exuberance of clive owens... Read more

Action film with poor action, doh!
I'm so bored with American film makers thinking they can out perform Hong Kong cinema in the action stakes. When will it end? No time soon it seems. Read more

Brilliantly OTT.
This film does have a plot, but to be honest it is hardly important to this sort movie. The action is frantic and completely silly that puns are hilariously bad. Read more

Why a dull movie in the High Definition format?
There is plenty of movies with beautiful imagery, and I'm wondering why they decided to release this movie in the High Definition format. Read more
