I read the first Jamie Johnson book 'Kick Off' last year after borrrowing it from a neighbour's kid.
Couldn't wait to borrow book two 'Shoot To Win' so I bought it!
Great read on the tube It fizzes along even better for a 10-12 year old; and if he/she won't read? Surprise yourself and your kids- they'll eat it up. It's football and everyone's fantasy coming true.

my son is a footy fan but not a reading fan, so this was bought to encourage bedtime reading. As he got into it, we could hear the giggles downstairs. He read it everynight and some nights couldn't wait to see what happened next. The main character, Jamie, is easily related to. the book was such a hit that i ordered another one in the series. Did the job!!!

Small Boy Very Happy
The book was bought (along side another Jamie Johnson installment) for a 10 year old fan of the series. He read it in about 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely great book
I read the first book The Kick Off and couldn't wait to read Shoot to Win and wasn't disappointed if you like football and reading about football this is the book for you.
