I don't know how I came across this product, but decided to give it a go because I had pairs of shoes where the soles had split but the uppers were still perfectly good. I am really pleased with the result - for a few pounds I've now got more life out of shoes that would have had to be thrown away.

One thing I noticed in other reviews was how the top was difficult to undo a second time. I followed the instructions and smeared the thread of the top with Vaseline - no problem undoing the top after that.

I used this to patch an unidentified leak in the sole of my shoe - worked a treat, and now my right foot stays dry in the rain! The shoes were old (but SO comfy!) and the soles had a few cracks in them, so I wasn't sure where to try and plug the leak. Shoe Goo is perfect for this as I just spread it on fairly thinly (I used a disposable plastic knife) like I was buttering a slice of toast, balanced the shoes upside down and left to dry overnight and ..voila! It dries into a thin rubbery clear hard gel - you would never notice it on the sole, particularly once you've worn the shoes once or twice. I am assuming it will wear over time so I will have to re-apply, but no big deal - loads left in the tube and only takes a minute or two. Tip top stuff - saved me £££ on new shoes (for now)!

2nd purchase of this item from Skateslime. Excellent value, communications & delivery. It's a good product too (as much of the world now seems to know).

This is the original forerunner of Shoe Goo 2. It wins out because of its price... £4 instead of around £8 to £12. It smells fairly weirdly but then as long as you leave ya shoes etc somewhere well ventillated, as per instructions, then this won't be a problem. I have used it on 3 different makes of sk8 shoe, both on the sole and where the 'ollie holes' are. It has stuck very well and made so comfy shoes that were about to die ready to continue skating in. This product is the don because sk8 shoes always wear in the same places, always, and this means favourite and well loved and warn shoes are sent off to the bin well before they should be. That worn in comfort of sk8 shoes can be prolonged indefinitely by application of Shoe Goo, as shoes are gonna cost £30 to £75 a pair then £3 of rubber repair solution is a very small price to pay. To sum up, ya fav sk8 shoes that were knackered and were going to have to be replaced by a new pair that feel horrible to sk8 in are now living on with rubber repair.

I used this to glue down the front portion of the rubber sole on a leather shoe, where it had started to peel away at the toe. It seems to have worked well as I have been wearing the shoe and the glue has held. However I have also attempted to use it to seal a gap between the leather upper of another shoe, and the rubber sole of that shoe, around the side, but found in that case that the glue subsequently came away, so that the repair was unsuccessful.

In the good old days of Woolworth, a couple of stick-on soles and a tube of glue only costed shillings. When I found that my walking boots and street shoes needed attention, I was shocked to find that such things were no longer available on the high street and were much more expensive on-line.

Shoe Goo has enabled me to rebuild the rubber heels and soles of my walking boots. It is much more than a rubber adhesive and forms a structural repair for shoes.

The tubes are large and quite expensive. I doubt that the contents will last very long once opened. I was lucky to need most of the contents at one go, but a smaller size at a smaller price would be nice if you are just sticking on replacement heels and soles.

The resulting repairs seem likely to outlast the life of the shoes.

With 'Shoe-goo' I've finally been able to do a fix of the soles of my Meindl boots - I've been out in them a few times since using the product, and they're holding up well.
Great goo!

So far I have used this stuff (very messy) to fix walking boots which had the soles half falling off. I honestly didn't believe it would be possible to repair them, but thought I'd give it a go. So far they are holding together really well, but may need to update if I do serious walking in them to see if they hold up. Also used to fix trainers where the soles break from the top of the shoe. I've fixed the same pair twice like this and although it doesn't seem to last forever, it definitely gives trainers a lot longer life as you can keep repairing them. If you really like things to look perfect you may not like this product as it's quite obvious when you have ShoeGoe on your shoes if you look closely, but not if you're just walking around etc. All in all very good, even if it doesn't work forever, does more than I was hoping.
