I don't know how I came across this product, but decided to give it a go because I had pairs of shoes where the soles had split but the uppers were still perfectly good. I am really pleased with the result - for a few pounds I've now got more life out of shoes that would have had to be thrown away.

One thing I noticed in other reviews was how the top was difficult to undo a second time. I followed the instructions and smeared the thread of the top with Vaseline - no problem undoing the top after that.

I used this to patch an unidentified leak in the sole of my shoe - worked a treat, and now my right foot stays dry in the rain! The shoes were old (but SO comfy!) and the soles had a few cracks in them, so I wasn't sure where to try and plug the leak. Shoe Goo is perfect for this as I just spread it on fairly thinly (I used a disposable plastic knife) like I was buttering a slice of toast, balanced the shoes upside down and left to dry overnight and ..voila! It dries into a thin rubbery clear hard gel - you would never notice it on the sole, particularly once you've worn the shoes once or twice. I am assuming it will wear over time so I will have to re-apply, but no big deal - loads left in the tube and only takes a minute or two. Tip top stuff - saved me £££ on new shoes (for now)!

I used this product already on three pairs of shoes. It works amazingly well. After two years of use the repaired shoes are still OK.
