As its name suggests, this gizmo does indeed zap those bugs! Cunningly disguised as a racquet, the bugs will just think you are practicing your tennis strokes until they feel the zap. The racquet head has interlaced thin wires which can be charged by depressing a button on the handle. When a bug comes into contact with the wires, a small current enough to render it immobile, allow you to quickly dispose of it. The Bug Zapper requires 2 x AA batteries which fit neatly into the base of the handle. Fear those bugs no more!

Right, here's the scientific part - so your full attention please: the Shock Bug Zappa is shaped like an ordinary squash racket. But with two slight modifications: it has a slightly larger head and a fine mesh surface. The mesh surface gives an electric shock when it comes in contact with a bug. The head gives you a larger contact area to ensure accuracy. Bug hits racket face. Bug perishes. Bigger insects, such as the tenacious wasp, are stunned - for you to dispose of as your conscience sees fit.

Great fun with this zapper. Its amazing how quick those little insects are. Make sure that you are not swiping with precious ornaments nearby!! Forehands and smashes are easier than backhands. Lobs are useless. The electric current seems to stun rather than frazzle - which is a disappointment. But a great aggression reliever - or just plain fun.

As the title says, there was nothing to tell you how long to hold down the charger, so I held it for about a minute and it broke completely. Waste of £5.
