Product Description

Young Martin Collins was the youngest of five brothers, and no sisters. His mother, Jenny, had always wanted a girl, and although slightly disappointed, treated him no differently.
However, from a very early age, Martin himself realised that things weren’t quite right, and when playing with some girls of the same age, he made the discovery that was to charge his life; - He was in the wrong body!

Childhood should be a time of fun and laughter, but for Martin it was to prove a depressing and miserable time, as he struggled through boarding school and puberty threatened to change him into something he had no desire to become.

Things started to change, but not in the direction he anticipated, and a light shone at the end of his tunnel.

Miracles are few and far between, but as Marti transformed into someone completely different, her life went from bad to brilliant!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good but a bit too sickly sweet 1 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The story is pretty good but I think it's a little too long and while it's a nice story of how Marti's life improves it seems that everything goes a little too well and nothing bad happens from then on which makes it a little sickly sweet for me personally which is why I don't think it's quite up there with some of the author's other works.

However it's still a good read and I would recommend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good read for anyone who knows person struggling with gender issues 12 April 2013

I'm not sure what age group this was written for. It reads like a teen paperback, but it addresses a mature subject. I am still reading it though only half through, kind of like watching a train wreck. If you know anyone who is struggling with gender issues it probably is a good read - gives you some prospective on what they may be going through.

My next to favorite Tanya Allan book. Right behind "Emma", my favorite. I love the angels. I know miracles happen.
5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful journey 26 Sep 2012

I have been reading Tanya Allan's books in ernest for 20 books so far and finally I have figured out what makes her books so absolutely wonderful. The climax of the story is in the middle of the book instead of at the end like so many other authors. She brings the reader into the story and artfully weaves the characters in and then where most stories end, her stories are just beginning. I do so very much enjoy reading everything this author writes. In this story the main charater, Marti, believes in the miracle of change through devine intervention and believes it so truly and sincerely that her prayers are answered, but that is far from the end of the story. I very heartedly recommend this story to everyone. Yes, it does delve into gender issues, but then it is a tender love story that should be enjoyed by all couples of any sex. I have gotten closer to my life partner through reading this book. Thank you again Tanya for your very professional craft and abilites to speak to your readers hearts. You truly are one of a kind.
