Product Description

Marooned in paradise with a bikini-clad beauty…

…is surely the only way for a truly committed playboy to get shipwrecked! Ideally, however, Rob Dalton would have chosen a slightly friendlier companion! Prickly conservationist Honor Brier clearly just wants to be left alone with her birds and turtles.

Honor’s had more than her fair share of heartbreak, and the isolated island has been a perfect place to lick her wounds in peace. She has no time for accidental tourists. Yet Rob is charming and infuriatingly attractive – his sheer passion for life is difficult to resist. Slowly Honor is discovering that even playboys may have their good points…

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed 2 Aug 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Story was ok, with main female character full of angst. Make a note that although it says 'Shipwrecked with Mr Wrong: AND Make Believe Mistress', the download is just the first story. Make Believe Mistress does not appear - a bit misleading perhaps?

5.0 out of 5 stars Read with tissues 12 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I don't know why Nikki Logan seems to sneak past my tough, I'm-no-girly-girl exterior and makes me cry with simple, yet poignant scenes. Good job the tissues were within reach.

I think my only criticism of this book is the reiteration again and again that it is not only Honor who is vulnerable in this story - perhaps done so that the weight of the conflict is not solely on the heroine - but it wasn't necessary. Ms Logan is so good at painting characters with a few, swift lines that in repeating Rob's hurt, it takes the shine off somewhat.

However, over all this is a wonderful book that paints a clear picture of a place on earth that few people will ever tread and serves up an emotional conflict that few people should ever have to face in real life. But if this all sounds a bit too serious, let me be the first to tell you that Ms Logan is not above a "booby" joke or two as well.

Escapism? Yes, to one of the most remote, beautiful places on earth. A trademark Nikki Logan novel? Definitely, the wildlife is a never-ending presence, showing sensitive interaction between people and their environment. But mostly, it's a love story about what people hide behind and how it takes someone else to show how dishonest we are with ourselves.
