Bought one of these after buying a set of Global knives and wanted to keep their razor like edge. After researching I opted for this sharpener as I'm not risking learning to use a steel on my lovely knives...and this was cheaper!!! This sharpener is easy to use, fill up the reservoir, and gently draw the knife though a few times! There is also a 3 wheel version available now, but not sure if it's a marketing gimmick to differentiate from an already perfect product, (and haven't tried it!).

This is a geat sharpener for Global knives. Don't press too hard - gravity alone does the work. Do it little and often.

Had a set of Global knives for a 'big' birthday recently and bought one of these ceramic water sharpeners after reading various reviews online. I have to say it's just fantastic - the Global knives are incredibly sharp and it's also done wonders for my old set, much better than other more expensive steel-based sharpeners I've had. Buy with confidence...

comes apart in kitchen drawer & short term results
I've never been a fan of this and bought another incase my was a dud - but it's just as bad.

Easy knife sharpener
I found this item very easy to use and as I have had 2 strokes this was important to me. Very easy to use and only a few seconds to sharpen the knife.

easy to use
I bought this item to sharpen my growing set of global knives. I didn't think I'd be competent with a steel sharpener and this looked easy to use. It is very easy to use.
