4.0 out of 5 stars Shingle Street, 6 Feb 2011
This review is from: Shingle Street (Paperback)
James Hayward writing fiction and book must be taken at that. However it is good, entertaining fiction, with a feel for the mystery and oddness of the topic and the place and time. Moreover JH has researched this subject on the non-fiction front as well, and made an important little contribution to debunking a silly conspiracy theory.
Get this book and also the non-fiction one he wrote. Especially readable if you know the Suffolk coast.

4.0 out of 5 stars War Thriller is Pure Fiction, 31 July 2010
This review is from: Shingle Street (Paperback)
James Hayward, author of "Bodies on the Beach," has given us a fictional account of a German invasion of England in early WWII. Although he admits it is a story of fiction, it has all the elements of a war thriller, which will keep you turning the pages.
