The shine series collected together most of the brit-pop/indie scene major tracks of the late 90's, and this compilation draws together the best of the bunch. The more well known artists from the shine CD are included here, and rightly so as they provided the better songs. Altough there are some tracks that I feel should be included such as Step On by the Happy Mondays, but you can never get a perect compilation of a genre?
Each track stands up well, most tracks chosen are have a slight pop feel to them but in no doubt makes a brilliant compilation of the brit-pop/indie scene.
So if you dont have any CDs of this genre this will provide you with most of the "essentials" you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top class 90's Brit Pop compilation 27 Jan 2010
By haunted
Format:Audio CD
This 36 track double album really does have the best songs from the Brit Pop era. Bands like Oasis, Blur, Supergrass, Suede and Radiohead all have at least one of their better known songs on it.

My favourites include - Garbage - "Stupid Girl", Elastica - "Waking Up" and Paul Weller - "Changingman". "Avenging Angels" from Space was one that could have been left out but that just proves that no compiler is perfect.

As a bonus there is a Suede video on the disc.

A must buy for any music fan of this era.
