After a few spills on my mountain bike while cleated in I stopped using cleats for a few years. Recently I purchased a road bike, so decided to try using them again. Before buying these multi cleats I tried half clips. I quickly found that even with half clips they held my foot in an uncomfortable position, causing knee pain. I tried these cleats, with the pedal tensioner backed out all the way (cheapest shimano pedals), and they have been great. Sufficient "float" to prevent my knee pain. Enough "tension" to hold my foot on the pedal, yet really easy to release. Getting back into the habit you inevitably forget to uncleat from time to time, but these did not let me down - release was easy.
A quick spray of WD40 on the pedals once a month keep these cleats working perfectly.
I would definately recommend for the born again cleaters.

Using cleats in my spin class makes quite a differance, they were easy to insert too. Many thanks for the speed in which I received them

This comment doesn't apply to every seller, I've been unlucky with mine I guess, which is not listed anymore to sell this product.

When you buy SPD pedals from Shimano, SPD cleats come with but without the nut cleat (that part goes inside the shoes).
This is why I bough this product, I need the nut cleat.
When I received the product... no cleat nut.

Looking at the picture you see the nut cleat (black plate) clearly.
Even if picture n°2 says "SPD cleat SM-SH56 with nut"
And Description in German : "mit Gegenplatte" mean "with back plate".
The other product (Shimano SPD easy-off pedalset Design SM-SH56 ohne Gegenplatte für Mehrfachausstieg 2013 Pedal Cleats) also with German description clearly says "ohne Gegenplatte" mean "without back plate"
And Nothing in full description says this product does come without cleat nut.

I contacted the seller to found arrangement, the only answer was :
"We're really sorry for your disappointment, This is only for the Spd cleat set, the pics are only to show the product."

Which is exactly my point the PICTURES, the PRODUCT NAME and the DESCRIPTION are completely MISLEADING and the seller agreed.

Worst money spend ever

I tried cleats last year and got massively put off them, I had an old pair that would take ages to go in, causing me to crash and fall off my bike trying to get clipped in while pedalling and getting them out was a nightmare,

I thought i'd give cleats a second chance and after a lot of research found these, bought them and I was skeptical but they are a dream, clips straight in, slides straight out, but never falls out when you don't want them too. Perfect for any beginners wanting to get used to using cleats or for anyone who hates faffing around with cleats that won't go in and out!

These cleats work well as they are multi release. This is good for commuting or if you have to make many stops.

Old ones wore out so replaced with these. So far no problems. They look to be of good quality and very quick delivery

Had 1 way release clips and I came a cropper a couple of times with them, I put these in and now I have no problems, easy release either side and they do not pull out when you lift up, these are highly recommended unless of course you like falling on your face periodically.

Can't get too exited about a shoe clip, but they do what is required without an hitch, perfect. Hold firm when needed and enable easy lift of the bike and strong uphill pedalling but release with a quick flick when necessary, which is often in my case!
