These pedals are excellent for commuting whilst retaining the characteristics of great clipless pedals. it's double sided with adjustable cleat tension. have had then for a year and no need to service yet. works great on a road/mountain bike

These were my first clipless pedals and I've been using these on my commuter roadbike for the last 1500 miles or so. No issues whatsoever. I was nervous at first about going clipless but I have to say these pedals make it easy. They come with the tension set at the halfway point so I immediately loosened the spring to the weakest setting and have never felt the need to change it. I have never unclipped when I didn't want to but have always been able to unclip the instant I need to. None of this falling over business that everyone warns you about! These are efficient, reliable and excellent value pedals. Buy 'em, I say.

The M520's are very light for pedals in their price range weighing in at just 380 grams a pair. XTR pedals are only lighter by 55 grams per pair and cost around four times as much. The pedals are really considered to be mountain bike pedals but if you have shoes with the correct cleat system there is no reason why they can't be fitted to any bike. In fact if you have both a mountain bike and a road bike and you want to use the same pair of shoes on both the cleat system that this pedal uses is the one to go for.

Shimano Pedals
These pedals are faultless. I've done over 1000 miles on them so far and not a single complaint.

Brilliant makes a big difference
As it states in other reviews takes a couple of hours to get used too, but it is worth it as it makes a big difference especially going up steep hills. Read more

Excellent product
Excellent prodyct... It was an easy installation with a safe release of your shoes in case of emergency. They look great and they have 2 faces for hitching your shoes
