Book Description

Acceptance does not mean Surrender- Shifting, the fiery sequel to Awaken (Book One in the Fated Saga Fantasy Series).

Shifting, Book Two in the Fated Saga Fantasy Series…

In a single terrifying moment, everything changes for telepathic teens, Meghan and Colin Jacoby. A light goes out, a doorway closes and a new nightmare begins. However, amid the darkness they discover they might not be alone as first thought. Misfortune has landed the twins in a strange world, with even stranger residents, one of whom claims to be a long lost relative!

However, once a secret is revealed, the magical community’s levels of acceptance and tolerance is pushed to its peak. And to make matters worse, Colin finds himself in trouble, the kind of trouble only his sister can get him out of… except there’s just one problem: if Meghan doesn’t succeed, not only might her brother die, but her failure will put the entire magical world into peril.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Young Heroes On an Edgy Adventure 26 July 2011
By Mama Linda - Published on
    Format:Kindle Edition
I'm an elementary school librarian who knows what kind of reads will spur kids on to more reading. What I like about the Fated Saga is that the young protagonists have the weight of important choices to make and must risk their safety to do the right thing. Their adventure begins with questions about their family's past and takes them on a journey into exciting challenges. What I like is that the protagonists are the kind you want your children to admire and young readers will become wrapped up in the well written narrative, likely transporting themselves from a boring summer day to the life and death adventures of these good heroes.

I loved the Fated Saga by Rachele D'Aigle. They are great for adults as well as children. I gave the first 3 to my granddaughter to read and purchaased the first 2 on my Kindle so that I could reread them just before the fourth book is published. I will purchase the 3rd book for my Kindle as soon as it is available.
I have told many people about this new series. This is a new alternative if you loved Harry Potter, you will enjoy these books.

About to finish this book and I have to say I think I am getting obsessed with this series. I am sooo eager for three that I contacted the author directly and she emailed me back after just minutes! She did not answer any of my questions :), but thats okay, I will impatiently await the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars New world new adventures :) 28 Sept. 2013

This is a series and you must read Awaken (Book One) (Fated Saga, Contemporary Fantasy Series) first or this book will make no sense :)

I really liked the magical world this was set in. Everything flowed well from the first book to this one almost as if it was one book not a sequel :) The new characters were believable and (for the most part) endearing... except the evil ones. I think the introduction of new villains was really good because it would't make much sense for there not to be more as they get more deeply entrenched in the magical world.

New allies new enemies and new adventures :) I can not wait to read the next installment!!!

** this book is suitable for all ages

What fun !!! I wish these books had been around in the late 60s so as a teen, magic could have made my world a little more colorful. As an adult, I'm surprised how enjoyable this series seems to be.
    Thank you.
