A real love affair 11 Feb 2005
Format:Hardcover
This book is written with a great deal of love and understanding of sherry and the people who made the trade in it so successful. It is a fascinating insight into how the popularity of sherry developed, and how the winemakers have coped with change and development. The fifth edition is as fresh as the first, written after the author's stay in Jerez in 1956.

In depth about Sherry 23 Mar 2008

If you REALLY want to know about sherry then purchase this. Sherry is difficult to learn about due to the variety of styles and this text really makes it easy.
Good Value 30 July 2011
By viniferareader - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Things have changed a lot since this book was published and are worth looking into, but as a historical primer on Jerez, Sanlucar and Puerto del Santa Maria, the older editions of this now seminal work are more than satisfactory.
