Product Description

Product Description

While traveling across the United States during the Papal Symposium, the papal plane, Shepherd One, is commandeered by a terrorist cell calling itself the Muslim Revolutionary Front. On board: a nuclear payload with half the yield that destroyed Hiroshima. Their demand to the U.S. government: assassinate the five leading principals of Mossad. While the American leadership is forced to follow through with a proposition that would cripple the intelligence network between the allies, Pope Pius XIII is not without his own weapon. On board Shepherd One is his personal valet, a man who is the leader of a clandestine op group of elite commandos known as the Vatican Knights. His mission: retake the plane and remove all hostile opposition. Using his very particular set of skills, Kimball Hayden must neutralize the situation before thousands of lives are lost, including that of Pope Pius XIII.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get off my plane! 28 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Simple. Baddies take over Shepherd One, the Pope's plane, and only one man can stop them.

It's Air Force One meets Die Hard. What's not to like?

This is a ludicrous, rip-roaring action packed romp that was a pleasure to read from the very start. I can't wait to read more about the Vatican Knights.

Bravo, Rick Jones!

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Many Grammatical Mistakes 21 Dec. 2014
By Andy M.
Format:Kindle Edition
While this a very good and compelling story, there are far too many grammatical errors rendering some passages almost unintelligible. For a professional author and indeed also the editors this has to be unacceptable. I will not be embarking on the 3rd installment in a hurry.
For story value, I would rate this book as 5 star. However, because of the aforementioned amateurism, I can rate it with only 2.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read 31 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I would recommend reading the series rather than starting with this one. If I had to find a fault it would be that the main characters background is given in every book, but then, if you've not read the first one at least you get brought up to date. The premis and people are very good. Really enjoyed the book... So I bought the series.. Still finishing them, one book to go, and I only started reading them about a month ago!
