This was the first JoJo Moyes book I read, and though I enjoyed it, the younger characters didn't really grab me. However, Grandmother did, and her abiding love for her husband despite all their trials and tribulations was extremely well written - not over effusive. Probably Sabine came over (to me) as rather typical of a teenager - unsure of anything really. Really looking forward to reading more of her work (especially as I've just finished "The Last Letter from your Lover").
