Product Description

Product Description

Packed full of fascinating facts, figures, stories, anecdotes and offbeat tales, Sheffield Wednesday Miscellany looks back at the club's most memorable matches and favourite sons. From humble beginnings back in the 1860s and unsung heroes, to players best forgotten and club legends, this book tells the tales that have shaped the club into the force it is today. Following no set order, Sheffield Wednesday Miscellany has plenty to keep Wednesdayites coming back for more.

About the Author

Jason Dickinson was first taken to Hillsborough by father Ken in the late 1970s, the famous Boxing Day game against Sheffield United being an early memory. He bought his first season ticket for the Kop in 1986 and has renewed every year since. He started to write for the Owls programme in 1994 and five years later penned his first book on the club: 100 Years at Hillsborough. A second title was published in 2005, in collaboration with John Brodie, The Wednesday Boys: A Who's Who of Sheffield Wednesday 1880-2005, followed by Sheffield Wednesday On This Day in 2009.

Another great read! 31 Dec 2010
Following on from his previous 'On This Day' book, Jason Dickinson's latest release, Miscellany, proves to be the perfect accompaniment.

Crammed with off facts and figures, quotes and quips, it's ideal for a bit of ideal reading, and essential for all Owls fans!
