144 pages, 64 wonderful tritone plates, embossed linen hardcover: this book is superb artefact.
Vanessa Winship's photographs, wonderfuly printed, explore the relationship between landscapes and portraits in the vast spaces of United States. Using black and white film and a large format camera, the photographer delivers a proper literary graphic essay.
Awarded by the Henri Cartier Bresson Award, this book is expected to become classical.

Striking and clear black and white photography. 1 April 2014

The book is wonderful both for its design and for the content. I appreciate a lot the work of Vanessa Winship, the photographer. Her story is a blunt but delicate account of America nowadays.
