We had been looking for some time for a new flat screen TV with DVD player for the bedroom to replace an old 14" TV/VCR before the analogue switch off.
After looking at all the big brands plus the no-brand budget models we decided on the Sharp even though it was a new model and had no reviews at the time because it was reasonably priced, had all the features we needed and looked good.
We are very pleased with our choice. It looks good and is a perfect size for the bedroom. The picture is fantastic and didn't need any adjusting. The sound was just ok at first but we found a "base boost" function in the menu and now it is much better. Start-up time is quick, the remote is not too big and well designed, the DVD player is nice and quiet and it had a proper "on/off" switch (although energy consumption is low anyway.)
And a great additional feature is the ability to record straight onto USB memory sticks. 4MB lasts 2 hours so long enough for most films. You cannot record while watching another channel (only 1 tuner) but it's great for recording while we are out (or recording one thing while watching another on the main TV) and the quality is fantastic.

I am very pleased with this item. The ease and speed of ordering, including delivery were perfect. It was a surprise xmas present for my husband to replace a small 14 inch old fashioned tv he has been watching in his den for years. This new tv is exceptional the picture is spot on and it looks good too. Very very pleased.

The quality of picture is fantastic and the DVD & Memory stick feature is great.
The sound is a bit tinny but its fine for watching a bit of T.V. in the bedroom or Kitchen.
Overall, quite pleased with the purchase.
Though just one niggle - currently the thumbnail for this product looks like its silver, but in reality its black. Again, not bothered too much but I thought it would look different.

Sharp TV
This item lived up to expectations; the picture is first class, and the sound perfectly acceptable if a little tinny. It was also cheaper than PC World.
