I brought this from another source, and after reading some reviews was a bit dubious, bit I need not have been. The unit is stylish and well built, easy to set up and with a good sensor range on the remote, recording controls could not be better as the old VCR symbols are used, it even has a clock in standby mode. The level of noise when recording is also comparable to a VCR with a soft hum coming from the hard drive. Picture quality is excellent both with TV and recordings. The unit does check for software upgrades at 03.00am daily for about 2 minutes, which was a bit noisy as I have it in the bedroom. All in all a good PVR of sturdy build.
