I ordered these for use with my Xbox 360 ,as I wanted use of microphone as well as headphones.Although on the expensive side boy do these babies deliver.

Pretty easy to set up all necessary cables are supplied along with a small power unit no bigger than a box of cigars. This has a kind of neon blue power light which is pretty cool.

They are extremely comfortable although maybe a tad on the heavy side, but as soon as you slip then on the weight goes unnoticed.

I put gears of war on last night and powered up my headset the sound is crytal clear using optic connection straight to my 360.

On the cord from the headphones is a small device which enables you to control left, right ,centre ,rear channel volume (1-10) and heres the clever bit. Also on the control is the vibration dial. Ive never experienced rumble headphones before and was quite surprised how effective it was.Really adding to whole game experience ,grenades sending faint shudders through your head whereas buildings collapsing and earth quakes making hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Overall Im really pleased with these, the microphone also works extremely well no more crackling and cut offs as I got with the MS headset.

So if you've got a PC a 360 a PS2 or are getting a PS3 you wont go far wrong with a set of these. Great surround sound which will go to a deafening level. Hear the footsteps of your enemies before they reach you.

Excellent

These are the best headphones i have ever tried. The Quality of the materials is great and they really dont cheap out. You get loads of cables in te box including an S/PDIF cable and a Toslink Optical cable. Was really easy to setup on my xbox 360 and when i tried out The Darkness i was literally blown away. They work with loads of different consoles and it is specially made for the xbox 360, PS3 and PS2. It has won awards from the official xbox magazine etc. The sounds quality on these headphones is fantastic and there is proper 5.1 coming out so i could hear where each individual sound is coming from. Also for the price tht you pay for these headphones is a lot cheaper than a decent 5.1 Sound System. The most awesome feature of these headphones though is that they have a RUMBLE feature built into them. So when i was playing Gears Of War each explosion sent the headphones into a massive shake (this can be turned off as well if it annoys you). These headphones also support a load of different dolby setups such as DOLBY 2.1 and DOLBY Pro Logic etc etc.
The inclusion of a heaphone to plug into your xbox 360 is great and it all works perfectly with live. The only quible i have is that you can't really hear other people's voices in multiplayer because all of the sound effects drown out the voice.
Basically if you want 5.1 that isn't overly priced and v.good quality then get a pair of these and get ready to be blown away! Thank You Sharkoon!

After only having my xbox 3 months I decided to splash out on these headphones, the instruction book is quite frankly bloody awful so here's how to cut down on the frustration, the toslink connections are a bit iffy, they look like they should push and click in both the control box and xbox, but they dont.
and if your wondering were the hell the the toslink connection on your xbox is its a small black port on the back of the AV cable that connects it to your tv. after finding all this out the hard way all i got was a loud hissing noise from the headset, until after 20 mins and 4 glasses of wine I wiggled the connection in the back of the xbox and then KABOOM! these babies came online.

They are amazing, Im normally a pc gamer and have some speedlink medusa headphones, these pee all over them, the sound is crisp and clear the bass makes the side of your head vibrate. There are people that say you can't hear voices on xbox live unless you set the audio output on your xbox to stereo, not strictly true you can get a good balance on 5.1 it takes patience and some fiddling with the seperate volumes. the mic is very good but quite sensitive.

There are a lot of different switches for time delay on the control box and a lot of other crap I dont understand, but the upshot is although quite pricey, playing COD4 and Gears of War late at night I've nearly S**t my pants on a couple of occassions. Highly Recommended

These headphones cannot be praised enough. The sound quality is better than any I have ever heard on any surround system, even in a cinema. They fit on prefectly, with velvet rims on the cups, which not only make it more comfortable to have them on than off, but they do a fair job of blocking out external sound. The included cables allow them to be connected to almost any games console, D.V.D.-player or television. Games, action films and music (on D.V.D., or on C.D.s programmed for surround sound). There is a clip allowing it to be attatched to clothing, rather than creating a feeling that they are about to fall off. The only slight problem with them is that there is no single dial for all of the parts of the surround sound system and, rather, there are four dials; the correct volume level can be set by ensuring that all are moved to the same degree, it just takes a little longer than normal.
I would recommend these to anybody and can ensure that they will be one of the best investments that you will ever make.
