This is the second worst film of all time, just behind Highlander: The Source. For starters, whichever Baldwin it is that is in the film is clearly hugely overweight, and you can clearly see his boobs bouncing up and down in all the action scenes. It is particularly painful watching him squeeze into a scubadiving suit.

The shots of the shark are from the ocean, and not downtown Venice; added to this is the fact that the shark doesn't have anything to do with the plot.

I would have given this film two stars if the shark had eaten Stephen Baldwin, but sadly he was too fat.

The geniuses at Nu Image, who brought us 'Shark Attack', then the spectacular 'Shark Attack 2', 'Shark Attack 3: Megalodon' (one of the best films ever!), 'Shark Zone' and then 'Raging Sharks'. Has suprised us with 'Shark in Venice' (or pretty much Shark Attack 6: Hideousness).

I love these awful films. If you have seen all of them, you will feel quite nostalgic watching 'Shark in Venice' because they have used the very same shark footage they have used through all six films. They have made new effects shots, however there aren't that many. Besides the shark we have Stephen Baldwin, who is one of the ugliest men in Hollywood. These two ingredients equal a spectacular mess of a film. Watch out for the repeated shots of Stephen Baldwins face and his rather grouchy girlfriend. Hilarious!

To 'Nu Image' - please make more! I love them.

What can I say? This has to be one of the most ridiculous films I have ever seen in my life and I am absolutely DYING to find out how it made it to production without anybody with film-making creditations putting a stop to it. Or perhaps they thought it would be a good joke (??)
The title itself attracts viewers of successful toothy movies such as Deep Blue Sea, Shark Attack (however also somewhat laughable) and, of course, Jaws, however, many I'm sure will continue watching in absolute comic disbelief to see Stephen Baldwin calmly go into shark-infested waters time and time again and his college lecturing fiancée expertly pick up a gun and start shooting mafia members.
I was also shocked to find just exactly how loyal the members of the Italian Mafia are. They must care so very much for their bearded leader as to, without question (and also blatent disregard for their own lives) jump into the water with the man-eating sharks and find his precious treasure!
I do fully recommend this movie for a trashy teen sleepover as it will provide multiple genuine laughs at atrocious acting, horrendous CGI and catastrophically obvious repeated use of certain scenes (not to mention the clear blue SEAS from which some of the footage of sharks clearly came).
Truly, if you're bored senseless and have completely run out of anything to do that is worthy of your precious little time on this earth, watch this movie :P
(well, it gave my boyfriend and I some laughs on a boring Sunday evening)

What a joy! One of the worst films ever made. Cheap production and shocking acting. What an inspired idea to spend the full budget on a ridiculous shoot out so you can only afford the fourth 'best' Baldwin. See him act naturally as he wanders through Venice pointing out to his hatchet faced girlfriend "Some other beautiful things...". See said girlfriend wearing a fetching scarf several scenes before you see him buy it for her. Recoil as you think he's breathed his last only to release a sigh of relief when our 'hero' returns. All in all an absolute shocker but well worth the 1-odd I paid for it. Everone should see this film. It knocks spots off Granny and Troll 2.

This film could be termed a B-move classic. It's one of those you have to watch just to see how bad it is. Everything from the ropey acting, child like script and plot were so bad it verged on hilarious.

Hell...this "horror" type movie had more laughs per hour than mnay comedies. The reviews on this film are equally amusing, and I have to agree that the best scene in film was Baldwin fencing off a baddie who was armed with chainsaw with various wooden objects. Screamer.

I also loved when the baddies were operating the keyboard with flashing empty screens. lol....Enjoy.

The best actor was the shark. There were 'edge of your seat' moments but only when the above mentioned star was in the frame. The rest? I'm giving it 3 stars just because my daughter and I couldn't stop laughing through most of it. The acting is so bad it really is hilarious. How Stephen Baldwin got roped into this I'll never know.

Usually when I end up purchasing a bad buy I'll get rid of it. But I'll be keeping this just in case it becomes one of those films that are so bad they actually become classics.

Wrong on so many levels that it's difficult to know where to start. Baldwin looks like Ricky Gervais and clearly isn't doing his own stunts. In fact, I'm quite convinced that the main actors were never actually IN Venice, at any point of this production. The very best bit is the closing scene (spolier alert) where a remaining Great White is still lurking in the lagoon. Seriously, they have stuck a fin onto a piece of polystyrene, and it just bobs about, ridiculously. My 6 year old daughter didn't stop laughing all the way to bed. Utter, fantastic, rubbish.
