5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly modern and the better for it 4 Aug 2008
Format:Audio CD
Even diehard fans of Gong would have to admit that their songs about pot head pixies and other psychedelic stuff would tie the band irretrieveably to a period and a sound. Yet with this album they have broken out into mainstream, I'd even call it pop. It is likey to appeal to eclectic prog heads like myself but the songs are great and have a unique sound which feels up to date. Still highly amusing and upbeat, still Gong, but not embarrasing to play in front of the neighbours. A brilliant album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shapeshift 20 Jan 2010
By J. Rees
Format:Audio CD
This is a real Gem. It's not much like the clasic 70s Gong but neatly fits into the early 90s traveller/rave scene. A must for all Gong fans and surely worth a listen to anyone who appreciates a good tune. This is a strong album, there's no weak track but the absolute highlight is Give my Mother a Soul Call, brilliant!
