This one is not a how-to book. But as far as "idea books" go, this is the best one I've found. Conolly's arrangements cover a variety of period styles, with global roots from Russian to Greek to South Asian, as well as just classic contemporary looks. The book showcases his great use of unusual foliages, fruits, and other materials, and covers all seasons, color palettes and (most) climates well, unlike many books which only offer suggestions for pastel summer flowers. You could scale the ideas down (all the weddings in the books are lavish million-dollar affairs) and end up with some very usable concepts for a smaller wedding or party.

My students have found this book very useful for reference purposes when studying themed weddings for their college assignments.
Lots of inspirational ideas that can be easily adapted. Wonderful photography.

Stylish photographs but not much in the way of mechanics to help you recreate similar arrangements, so definately for the advance. Some of the styles were really over the top - 6' high in stone urns. The book contained more of the same............disappointing. The books by Sheila Monckton & Diana Tonks are much better for ideas, mechanics and variety of choice.
