Anyone who's followed Therapy? for any length of time will be more than happy with this, their 6th full length album. Ten years on and the boys are still going strong - not only going strong but still bringing out top-class albums as well, which must be something of a record these days. 'Shameless' is a small step back from the intensity of the last album,'Suicide Pact', but manages to tone down the noise without actually comprimising any of the underlying melodies, placing it musically somewhere between 'Suicide Pact' and the previous album, 'Semi-detatched'. Just about every song starts with a giant stonking riff that would make even the most jaded of fans bounce up and down like a mad thing. Special note goes to the singles, 'Gimme back my brain' and 'I am the money', as well as to other top mosh-riots as 'Dance', with its very Soundgarden-ish hook, and 'Wicked Man', which proves Andy Cairns is as strong lyrically as ever before. Problems with the album? The band seem to be off on their own little planet at times (bongo solos and handclaps spring to mind). There are none of the hauntingly slow numbers like 'Gone' and 'Six Mile Water' that some of the other albums had. The weird black/pink inlay card made my eyes go funny, and the bloke in the (nameless!) music store where I bought the album laughed at me for my musical taste. All i can say is - ignore him. Ignore everyone. This is a top, top album, uncluttered by the tedious rap-metal that is so dominating music today, and it proves that Therapy? are still as relevant - or irrelevant - as ever. Buy it, go nuts, you won't regret it.

After my first listen of this album I wasn't sure what to make of it. Then, on listening to it for a second time I realised that, had Troublegum never been made, this would be Therapy?'s greatest CD.

Even though they seemed to have gone all Iron Maiden on us, it works. The highlights are; Gimme Back My Brain, Dance, Theme From Delorean, and Endless Psychology.

If you do not own this CD, BUY IT NOW!!!!!

After the refreshingly inaccessible sound on "Suicide Pact: Your First" it came somewhat as a surprise to hear the catchy and almost (Almost!) pop sound that pours out on "Shameless". Initially that's what I thought it was; a shameless effort to buy in on more royalties. You have to break away from Therapy's original direction and kind of take a step back. Then you'll see that this still has those Andy Cairns lyrics we love and as for the musical side, its kind of run off with the rock side of their ego's for a little bit. If your telling me that when you listened to this album you made comparisons to 'Kylie Minogue', 'Atomic Kitten' and 'S Club 7' or even the alternative toppers 'Wheatus' and 'Alien Ant Farm' well shame on you!

While I might agree that this is not the best album to come from Therapy? and granted I now know this album is destined to be overshadowed by the next release "High Anxiety" but it simply is not as bad as most fans will lead you to believe. It is far from disappointing, my personal faves are "Wicked Man", "Stalk & Slash" and "This One's For You" which I can only describe as senseless yet enjoyable rock offensives. If you can't laugh at the simple yet not quite so pointless "Dance" I'd ask you go get a sense of humour. Before I overkill the recovery of this album's reputation I'll simply sum up with this is not their best work but still a thoroughly enjoyable album which I don't believe to be a 100% serious outing and that you should simply treat it as a break and be thankful for the excellent follow-up album.

Excellent album unfairly disliked by the fans
Many hardcore Therapy? fans were disappointed with this album, but be fair: it's an excellent, tight, hard-rocking bit of pop-metal. And why shouldn't they? Read more

Disappointing
In my opinion this album was a real let down. An unorthodox and quite misleading departure from its magnificent predecessor(Suicide pact). Read more
