DVD Description

The Gallaghers, the UK's most dysfunctional family, return along with assorted colourful characters on the Chatsworth Estate. Frank, Manchester's favourite son and world's worst father, embarks on a series of adventures with his remarkably well-balanced children Fiona, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie and Liam - and not forgetting the seventh kid on the way with Frank's valium-fuelled lover Sheila.

With more hilarious tales of how one extraordinary family goes about its normal everyday life, Shameless series two is packed with sex, love and scams: but the most important thing is - FAMILY.

Includes Feature Length Christmas Special

Forget a traditional Christmas, and prepare for the outrageous Gallagher clan to bring their own chaotic brand of festive cheer to the entire Chatsworth Estate.

It's a Merry Christmas, Shameless style.

Special Features

Feature Length Christmas Special, Audio Commentary with Paul Abbott, Director and Producer

Each and every character is a diamond in the rough and the plots are beautifully constructed. The family initially appears to be a haphazard collection of amoral misfits but soon reveal themselves as caring and sharing, despite the multiplicity of problems they face.
Discovering the "crude, rude and lewd" but lovable rogues of the Chatsworth Estate has entertained me over and over again.

SHAMELESS! Oh, Shameless! Series 1 and 2 was just simply, heart achingly, amazingly beautiful. I love it so much that when I think of the best series (one and two) of Fiona, Steve, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie and Liam with Veronica and Kev, I just want to cry. It is that simply brilliant. I have watched every episode of Shameless from series 1 up to series 7 so I can say for myself that sure, Shameless definitely lacks and droops as it goes on but every series is still amazingly wonderful. I have seen a few episodes of series 8 and 9 and I can say that I just simply loved series 1 towards series 6. Series 7 is where it starts to have ridiculous story lines and another reason is that by then so many great characters left. By the time it was only Carl and Frank left in the family, I just stopped watching.

This is why I say series 1 and 2 was just the best because it has ALL the characters and the actors were so brilliant. The storyline was way more believable and the set of Manchester is so realistic! I grown attached to all the characters and their lovely relationships with each other. I loved the revealing secrets and the chemistry between Steve and Fiona, I loved the closeness and the disputes of the relationship between Lip and Ian, I loved sweet little Debbie who adored her stupid, alcoholic father but Frank is indeed, the heart of Shameless and he makes me laugh even though sometimes I just want to punch him!! I loved the introduction of the scary Maguires but now they are just soft and not as menacing as they were in series 2.

After so many different amazing story lines of series 2, it sort of went downhill because two of the main characters Steve and Fiona left and Shameless hasn't been the same after that. Series 3 was much more rougher and grittier, and went rather quick but it still was brilliant. After series 3, Lip, Kev and Veronica left and Shameless went down even further! I think it was when Debbie left way later that Shameless hit rock bottom.

I still love being addicted to each episodes but I miss the good old wonderful times of snuggling up watching Lip, Ian as young teenagers having a laugh and Fiona, Steve just being in love. And just the amazing hilarious story lines that they come up with which makes us try to solve and figure out problems when the characters do. Aahhhhhhh :) To those who has never seen series one or two, PLEASE just buy them!! It's so worth your while and it's without a doubt, the best british TV series EVER!

Wow, I sound pathetic! ;)

Probably one of the funniest tv shows to come out of Britain! I'm obsessed with this family of hooligan misfits haha Frank is just brilliant! When he goes off on one of his monologue rants, waving his arms about and flipping the bird at NO ONE, i literally double over laughing!
