Shameless, the BAFTA® award-winning and brilliantly funny drama series from writer Paul Abbott, follows the roller coaster lives and loves of the Gallaghers, the Maguires, and all the lawless, loveable characters of the Chatsworth Estate.
Head of the Gallagher family, in name only, is Dad Frank – a feckless, charmless, self-pitying, unemployed bully – a model father. When Mum went AWOL, Dad hit the bottle leaving his six remarkably well-balanced children Fiona, Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam to fend for themselves. Local gangsters, the Maguires, continue to explode the myth of a conventional family as they are involved in all things dodgy on the estate.
The Complete Series 1-7 Box Set is a 25-disc set consisting of all seven series, plus the feature length Christmas and New Year Specials.

I've watched bits of this series on TV over many years, but not being able to handle commercial television - all those breaks - I've never sat through a complete episode. But what I had seen looked excellent. So seeing this box collection available I thought I'd go for it. I was not disappointed.
I think you can best describe this as a soap for after the watershed. It has the lot: sex, violence, swearing and the list goes on. But the way the writing brings this all together is superb, with a large cast of characters all interwoven with one another. And your definitive anti-hero, Frank Gallagher, usually at the centre of it all. Many a time you find yourself laughing at something totally outrageous and thinking "I shouldn't laugh at that." But you just can't help yourself.
If I was going to be picky I would mention how some of the cast just seem to disappear at the end of a series, never to be seen again. And on the odd occasion when Frank starts moralising. That is one man who really shouldn't moralise to anyone.
This is a must-have box collection. If you've seen it on TV you will know how good it is. If you haven't then you are in for a treat.

Great british series, takes me back to the good old days!! A little gem of a comedy and drama. Highly recommended.

The name says it all "Shameless" A Brilliant mix of comedy, ,sex and crime, it got the lot , very funny in true English fashion, not recommended for the narrow minded.
