Product Description

Episodes 1-4 of the anime adventure series. In 'The End of Everything, the One Beginning', Yuji Sakai is thrust into a battle between two Rinne and a Flame Haze of the Crimson Realm. After the battle, he discovers that he is already dead. In 'The Lit Flame' Yukari Hirai's flame after becoming a Torch is about to go out. With little time remaining, Yuji tries to make her last moment on Earth memorable. In 'The Torch and the Flame Haze' with Yukari Hirai already disappeared, Shana joins Yuji's class in her place in order to keep an eye on him. While at school the next day, the same Rinne from before attacks Shana once more. Finally, in 'The Confused Flame Haze' Shana moves into Yuji's house temporarily. Later, another Flame Haze by the name of Margery Daw comes to Misaki and starts a battle with Shana.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Spellbinding 31 May 2008
Shakugan no Shana offers a very nice mixture of typical slice-of-life anime with cute girls and a bewitching dark haired lead female, while also providing some intense action and stunning fight scenes complete with a flame haired heroine with a big sword.

But the beauty in this anime and its manga is how both these ideas flow into each other creating a multi-faceted world and presenting multiple sides to many of the characters. Torn by varying ideals and feelings you really get drawn in wondering just how each character will react and grow throughout the storyline.

The story itself contains a driving plot across the entirety of the series and the characters truly develop.

Suffice to say, Shana will steal your heart and set it ablaze. A second series and a movie have also been shown so there is plenty to keep a new fan bus and enjoying this elegant anime.
