Product Description

Synopsis

The whole of Shakespeare's repertoire is in this book and tarot set. The wealth of imagery available in Shakespeare's work makes it ideal as a basis for tarot. The characters are almost created for the deck - Prospero as the Magician, Cleopatra as the High Priestess, Romeo and Juliet as the Lovers, Lear as the Hermit, Hamlet as the Hanged Man, Iago as the Devil, and Portia for Justice. In addition famous scenes are evoked - the death of Caesar for the Ten of Swords.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Deck-Pretty Hard To Find, 29 April 2001
By Nokturnal - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Shakespearian Tarot (Paperback)
But it is definitely worth locating. The deck is oversize and filled with amazing color, detail, verbage, etc. Even if you are not a fan of Shakespeare, the pure beauty of the cards in relation to tarot make this deck worth getting. Being out of print, I haven't seen it listed in many of the online tarot resources for purchasing decks....

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find tarot deck found through Amazon Auctions, 28 April 2000
By BlueManticore "I'm the one and only BlueManti... - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Shakespearian Tarot (Paperback)
This tarot deck and book are both beautifully done. The art is simple, yet exquisite. The book very nicely gives a summary for each card's quote's play. The quotes and styles of the cards are very well chosen for the theme of the cards. I consider myself very lucky to now own this deck. If you can get a hold of one, grab it immediately, no matter the cost. This deck is priceless!
