I only have to say that if you want some music for your death bed, pick this score.
It is beautiful and restful and it's choral offerings are wonderful in their almost spiritual composition.
George Fenton really is the best British composer working today. His work on Shadowlands, Grey Owl and Groundhog Day are truly inspiring when listened to on their own.
The highlight from this score is "As A Boy And As A Man", the epilogue sequence after Joy's final 'scene', when the music plays over shots of the lush Oxford morning, as Jack ponders his next move in life...
In a word, the score is like the film: moving.
