This book isnt a must read, but it wont kill you. I read it early on and it enspired a few things in me just from the characters. I cant agree much with the detail that the other reviewer mentioned, but the characters were interesing. There wasnt much thought put into the story and it all runs like an RPG translated into a book, but if you have a week to spare to read the three books then go for it.

I have to say that this book fed my imagination. The character relationships are funny, I especially loved the descriptions of one of the male characters by Midnight. I nearly died with laughter. I think this book appeals to a certain type of humour but it is also a great story.

Excellent book. Detailed and creative. The characters are colorfully outlined with personalities that most authors never see. This book begins the trilogy that shapes the very foundation Forgotten Realms is based upon.
