This is a fantastic book, but there are so many typos I found I couldn't always understand what was going on ("He grabbed the ax he wanted to fight"- eh?). You can guess most of the time, but that's not good enough: I'd stay well away, and get the paper version instead.

The story is amazing. The author writes in such a wonderful way and it draws you into Severian world slowly at first and then you're hooked!
I gave the story 5 stars but I wish I could give the ebook much less stars. It has a lot of spelling mistakes!

I have just finished this book, and I have to say it was pretty good.
Was a bit slow to start but soon picked up.
I have to say I didn't notice that many spelling mistakes - maybe they cleaned it up since some of the other reviews on here were written.
I'm straight on to the second one now!
p.s. think the author is a little obsessed with boobies..
