Very nice collection of mainly instrumental mid-60's music from the Land Of The Smile, although there are only five combos involved, they are as follows: The Son Of PM, PM Pocket Music, PM 7, Johnny Guitar and Jupiter. The groups involving the initials PM were apparently put together by Thai music singer/industry mover and shaker Payong Mukda showcasing a large number of musicians with interchanging line-ups in the respective bands who were for the most part based in Bangkok. Of the other two, Johnny Guitar and Jupiter not information is available at hand but that is what the Internet is for.
The tracks as i mentioned before are mostly instrumental with a couple of very brief vocal refrains spread across the 17 tracks, a lot of Hank Marvin style delay and twang - the 'Shadow' of the compilation title refers to the English beat / instrumental group who were hugely popular in Thailand - mixed with more Farfisa organ and Percussion than yuo can.... er, well wave a stick at.
If you enjoyed the first two volumes Of Thai beat a go-go then the chances are much listening pleasure will be had from these sounds.
