Product Description

When their two worlds collide, the sacrifices they must make to survive threaten the foundations of their lives.

Eric Randall's plan is simple--fix the mess his researchers have created in Malaysia, experience the pleasures the country has to offer, and return to the comforts of America. All it takes is one beautiful aborigine, and Eric finds himself stranded in a world of Malaysian myths and legends.

A novice shaman amongst her people, Berani is free and independent. Yet all is not well in her homeland. Demons prey on her people, pushing them to extinction. When a strange speaking man invades her forest, she has one more worry to add to her already troubled life. Attraction or no, she will fight Eric tooth and claw to maintain her freedom. But will she destroy herself in the process?

If Berani wishes to save her family... if Eric wishes to reclaim his old life, they must stand together against the threats of encroaching wehr-tigers and bloodsucking demons... or perish.

~EXCERPT~

Eric stared at the flowers of a yellow tree, hoping to catch the motion again. He'd learned the rainforest was full of wonders if he kept his eyes opened and remained patient.

There! Hidden in the tree, a black and orange corded object waved, the colors camouflaged by the profuse foliage.

He squinted and followed the thick line to its source, but lost track of it behind a concentrated stretch of leaves. He did a double take. Where did she come from?

The faint light flickering through the tree cast a glow on the exquisite bronze skin of a woman lounging on a limb, while the dense leaves concealed her legs completely. She licked full pinkish-brown lips, which were made for kissing. Malaysian characteristics dominated her face. High cheekbones with a slight blush. Thick, untamed brows arched high. Beautiful. Straight tresses lifted in the breeze--a mix of strawberry blond with streaks of dark brown and copper, as well as a shade so light it appeared white. Her features combined with her distinctive hair hinted at a mixed ancestry and created a spectacular contrast against her honey-colored skin. A light brown, halter-like bra covered her full breasts and allowed just a hint of the fleshy mounds to peak over the top.

She rose from her recline and stood on the branch, balancing on bare and dainty feet with cute, kissable toes. He traced the shape of her legs, toned and lithe, which seemed to travel forever before disappearing behind an obtrusive bit of vegetation.

She dropped from the tree.

No." He reached out as his stomach plummeted with her fall.

The woman landed ten feet below in a crouch, while a pitiful scrap of loincloth brushed the ground between her legs.

His brain cranked into gear. She was okay. His heart beat so hard, it threatened to jump out of his chest. Even his run had not gotten him so excited.

She rose from her squat and approached him. Her bare hips flared but narrowed toward the contours of her waist, while the indentation of her belly-button tantalized him.

Already working overtime, his heart rushed blood straight to his cock as it pulsated to the rhythm of her swaying breasts. Entranced, he wondered if the nipples creating points in the thin fabric corresponded with the color of her lips. His jeans tightened, and he resisted the urge to adjust himself as the woman sauntered ever closer, stalking him like prey, assessing him with eyes the color of an amber sunrise.

He smiled at the sultry advance of the curvaceous female. I can definitely work with this. She appeared fearless as she came within arm's reach, while her feminine scent washed over him, a combination of cool mint and fresh rain. Enticing. Quite tall for Malaysian standards or any woman in general for that matter, she stood about a half foot shorter than Eric. No doubt she'd mold seamlessly to him.

She cocked her head to the side. As if in a dream, time slowed. The wind teased her hair, and the silky strands floated and caressed her shoulders.

An Amazing Shifter Romance 3 Jan 2012
By Mag16 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Berani lives her life in Malaysia constantly trying to protect. She is a wehr-tiger trying to keep her family and the jungle they live in safe. Her lifestyle is being threatened by humans and also by evil blood sucking creatures.

Eric lives his life trying to keep his family's pharmaceutical company, Nora-Tech, from falling apart after some problems in Malaysia. He travels there with his friend to take a break and see about the research that was supposed to be going on there.

In a chance encounter both of their lives will change forever. Berani finds herself attached to and falling in love with a human, one of the things she truly despises. Eric will learn that sometimes finding love is more important than alone with a successful business.

This story kept me interested right from the start. Once I began reading I never wanted to stop. The characters and settings were explained beautifully. This book had so much going for it, action, mystery, self discovery, romance, and toss in some erotica as well. It was very well written and I truly hope that there will be more!

Actual Rating 3.5 11 Mar 2011
By Felicia - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
What I Loved: Berani and Eric created a very a unique yet fantastic love story. They were meant for each other despite their differences. I also adored Bryan and the roll he played in both with their love story and the overall arc story. The trials and tribulations these 3 faced were monumental but they worked through them all. I thought the "medical" (can't think of a better word) issues that they faced reminded me a bit of Outbreak (which I adored) and worked really well! In the end (no spoiler), how everything turned out was both realistic and satisfying for the storyline. It kept me hooked till the very end.

What I Liked: The history, world building, and culture that Reena created was unique and interesting to read. The glossary in the back of the book helped me when I was stuck. I appreciate when an author does that for their readers.

Complaints: Overall this was a fantastic book but it does take a bit to "get into". I really couldn't see tell what the story was supposed to be about until about 30 to 40% through (I am a kindle reader so I am not sure of the pages). Once the story hit that mark though, it was fantastic till the very end.

Why I Gave a 3.5: I really enjoyed the unique world that Reena built and the storyline was very compelling. I think different people will get into it much faster than I did and should take that into account.

Who I would recommend it too: PNR readers who enjoy a bit of transport into a world part of our world but different.

Loved It, Wicked Awesome! 4 April 2012

I must say that this book had me in its grips from the first ten pages. I could not believe how good it was, Berani and Eric's adventure to find love while saving her people is beautifully captured. The twisted and turns kept the book interesting with Berani's wild and determining spirit, Eric's protective and heroic tendency. A coming together of love and the human spirit in all its facets. A truly wonderful book, I recommend it fully.
