Great book, loved the first, second's just as good. Easily carries 3 simultaneous story lines (even if the normal's story is a little dull).
The Icarus universe is expanded and neatly woven in to the fabric of our own. Raises the issues of good versus evil, destiny and genetic predispositions amoung others.
Love the characters, love the plot, it's a shame I found it on sale in a supermarket rather than in a book store or library.

If you loved your superhero tales as a child, then this grown up version from two of the hottest Team Seattle Urban Fantasy Authors really will keep you happy. It doesn't pull any punches as romance, vengeance, larceny and the lines of heroism/villainy become blurred by the slant placed upon the cast by the media. Whilst I am more of a fan of Ennis' The Boys type fiction this offering really does do what the genre a huge favour with its presentation. Beautifully written with two principle protagonista's you really can't get quite enough of backed up with great prose solid dialogue and women who know how to kick butt and its something that many will get a real blast out of.

(UK) Title of the (US) version, Shades of Gray

This is the UK version of Shades of Gray (Icarus Project, Book 2). This should really be made more clear in the product description.
Note: The 3 star review for this is the same rating from my review of Shades of Gray (Icarus Project, Book 2). I do not own a copy of the UK version so if there are differences between that edition and the US version, disregard this review.
