The sun can be extremely harsh, and we are all well aware of its damaging effects, particularly on young sensitive skin. Daily walks in the pram can be uncomfortably hot for little ones in the full glare of the sun - particularly as most modern prams didn't have the reversible handles of old. Pinning a muslin or towel to the pram hood shows real ingenuity but does not make the experience very interesting for the babies.There just didn't seem to be any specific shade products for prams on the market. It was this first eye-opneing conversation that led us to the formation of Outlook. The objective was to provide a solution to the sun’s galre while helping to shield babies from potentially harmful UV rays, whilst still providing the infants and toddlers with a good view of the world
The Outlook shade-a-babe combine's fun, fashion & style with UV and glare protection for your child. Shade-a-babe's flexible 3-layered design offers all-round sun protection without the need to constantly readjust the shade.
The shade helps block harmful UV Rays - UPF50+ sun visor - the highest UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) fabric rating available.
It shields delicate eyes - UPF10 glare shield. A double mesh layer beneath the visor helps protect from sun and glare when visor pulled back.
It protects from insects and wind - UPF3 lower mesh protects from insects and wind and filters UV rays entering through lower half of the pushchair, whilst still offering good vision and ventilation
The central section unzips for easy access to child.

If like me you do alot of walking and enjoy getting out and about, this product is great.
During a recent spell of sunny weather, I struggled to keep my baby in the shade with a parasol and after a couple of occasions where her delicate skin burnt slightly, I decided to see what products were available to prevent this happening again. Eventually, I discovered the Shade a Babe.
I opted for the universal cover in black. It fits both my 3 wheeler and my buggy perfectly.
Its an absolute must have in summer and invaluable when going abroad.
Definitley one of my best purchases!

Fantastic quality and fits well on Quinny Buzz (and probably 95% of all other prams). Slighlty desceptive description of the material's SPF as the only part that is SPF 50 is the top solid black material. The other parts range between 3-10 (if I remember correctly). My 8 month old daughter did not mind the confinment at all but I am not too keen as I cant see her and interact with her if "zipped" up. When she faces forward it wont matter though so we will use it more then (providing it stops raining!)

This is my 3rd child but the first time I've had a shade like this as I saw a friend's. We just spent 2 weeks in Spain with our 5 month old and this product made life so much easier as we never had to worry about whether he was facing into the sun. I had concerns he might get hot when it was all zipped up but it didn't seem to bother him. Plus when you are out of the direct sun you can just unzip the front and tuck it away.
So much easier than constantly messing about with a parasol.

Only fits when the pushchair is facing outwards
