Book Description

9 Jan 2005
Friend of squirrels and lover of women who hate him: William Loveday is back and set to wreak his revenge on the liars and hypocrites of art. This is the first full length prose work to be published in the uncorrected hand of its dyslexic author: 'having sean the living and the sain I have decided to align myself with the mad', says William Loveday, and so he drags the reader into the odyssey of a soul determined to experience life at its rawest. Equipped with only an exploding lemon and a caustic wit, William embarks on a journey through the triumph of failure.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book!!!! 16 April 2006
Format:Paperback
The Universe of one William Loveday of Chatham Town, is a bizaare world where the utterly mundane and gritty mixes with the surreal and comical. In this (unofficially) semi-autobiographical account of Billy Childish as a scorned young art-student and aspiring poet, meet a freaky cast of unforgettable characters such as Al Mersin, Bernadette and Deep Snow. An essential read for all fans of Childish and the curious. Also for fans of (in my opinion) Irvine Welsh, Charles Bukowski, J.D Salinger and William Burroughs.

Kurt Cobain, Nick Cave and Graham Coxon of Blur are all said to be fans.
