DVD Description

Synopsis Manhattan's four most famous women are back for another season of sex, laughs, and loves. Sarah Jessica Parker stars as Columnist Carrie Bradshaw who writes about relationships and sex. Her trusty friends Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall), a publicist who drifts from one relationship to another, Charlotte McDougal (played by Kristin Davis) curator for an art gallery, and Miranda Hobbs (played by Cynthia Nixon) a lawyer, are caught up in the wild lifestyle of New York City, doing their best to balance love and life and friendship and, you guessed it, shopping.

The DVD box set for the final season is very very very disappointing. The interactive menu requires some fiddling. The previous box sets had summaries of each episode. There is nothing like that in this final season box set.

The final season has five DVDs with four episodes per disc and on the screen two episodes at a time are listed. They could have easily placed 6 episodes per disc and reduce the total number of discs to four. There are no special features, no interviews with the cast. Considering what a high profile series it has been, one would have assumed that HBO would include many goodies. A 5 DVD box set is not justified. One gets the impression that in order to make as much money as possible, HBO rushed with this final box set. Very disappointed!

I have to say I though that the ending of this FANTASTIC show was going to be rather predictable.However...
the last few episodes I particular, left me laughing until tears were running down my cheeks at classic Carrie comedy but crying also with tears of emotion.
The aspect of this series I liked the best is the feeling of completion but still with a wondering as to will they return?
Each of the characters had some tough storylines and I felt that they were played with real emotions (particularly the final coffee shop scene)and it was great that SATC touched on these issues.
The way Kim Cattrall portrays Sam with such a tough storyline is beautiful and we saw a hidden depth to the character and discovered that love comes at the most inopportune times.
Perhaps not the funniest of series' but a MUST for all SATC fans

This series has to be one of the best yet!

Some of the episodes are better than others, obviously, but the better ones, had me laughing my socks off.

I watched this series first, and it was really easy to get into, with no complicated references, just pure easy comedy!

The hilarious antics of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda are defenitely ones not to be missed in this fab series.

With an award worthy sense of comedy, and a tearful girly end, what more could you want?
