Just before he's to marry Fiona, Roderick Blank receives an anonymous e-mail with 101 names on it; Fiona's is the 29th, the first 28 are women Rod has slept with, and the 30th turns out to be the stripper at his bachelor party. The notion that he will have sex with 70 more people sends Rod into crisis mode and thinks he should destroy the list. But he finds that this easier said than done. Working his way through it consumes him, meanwhile, a femme fatale nicknamed Death Nell is putting men into a coma. Are they fated to meet?

I really enjoyed this film and laughed out loud in several places. OK, it's not for everyone. If you're offended by the odd crude joke, it's probably not for you. But I found it refreshingly different and very funny. Simon Baker puts in another great performance - if you're a fan you will want to watch this one. He gets a lot of quality screen time, and you get to see a bit more of the Baker body than usual - he's got a really cute bum!

A strange comedy. Written by the same guy who wrote the successful Heathers and the terrible Hudson Hawk, this is a film about a successful businessman, Roderick Blank (Simon Baker) who has it all and who receives an anonymous email with a list of 101 womens' names. He discovers he has slept with the first 29 on the list and the rest are women he will sleep with. He dumps his fiancee and proceeds to seek out the others on the list and do the deed. As an aside, Winona Ryder plays Death Nell who sleeps with random men and puts them into a coma. She is the last on list and when Roderick finds this out, he prepares to meet his fate.

This is sometimes jaw dropping. You will find yourself bursting out laughing despite yourself. It does have a rather cheap quality to the filming and is overly long but the main characters do a good job. If you're only viewing of Simon Baker is as The Mentalist, then prepare to be shocked. However, how Winona Ryder continues to get work is one of life's mysteries.

I brought this as a bit of a joke for my 19 year old son as he loves the mentalist and due to him being in the dating game.

He said it was surprising good better than the film he and his mate had rented for the evening

I got this a couple of days ago and just finished it, I thought it was a very different romantic comdey to the ones I have seen before. It's about a very good looking young man who has it all: a great job, a wife to be and living the high life. But when his lesbian best friend reads a e-mail saying all the women he has had sex with and plenty more to go, he soon realises that his perfect little world will come crashing down when a woman named Death Nell is grabbing every man and puts them in a coma and she will be the last person he will sleep with. Though it's more or less a man movie, women shouldn't be pushed aside because the lead guy, Simon Baker, is drop-dead sexy. He oozes charsmia with his handsome looks, his curly blonde hair and those lovely blue eyes! Ooh, getting hot here! But there is a very surpsing and happy ending that quite shocked me. It's worth seeing, it's funny and very sexy for men and women. I enjoyed it and you should too.

This comedy is very very funny in parts, but also quite strange. The premise is obviously pretty silly : a computer sends this bloke a list of all the women he has ever, and will ever, have sex with. He proceeds to work his way through the list. There are some very funny moments. The film is over long, the ending is trite and underwritten, and you probably wouldn't want your aged grandma to see it (for more than one reason !), but if you are looking for a comedy with Simon Baker in it, it is worth seeing. I don't think Ryder is as bad as some other reviewers represent, she is fairly convincing as Death Nell, but there is a lack of chemistry between her and Simon Baker. This again, could be down to the writing of the end piece, which is less than convincing.

Have been a Simon Baker fan since The Mentalist & Devil Wears Prada so was keen to see a full length feature with him in top billing. Unfortunately it let me down on a number of levels, the story line is very lightweight, his character is one dimensional so you find yourself not really warming or liking him very much. It is also repetitive and a bit poor taste in places - if the humour would have been sharper some of the poor taste elements could have been pulled off but it just failed.

Will probably send it straight to the charity shop - not one to watch a second time. Disappointing.

If you could give half stars we would. If you are looking for a chick flick or a comedy, this is definitely not the film for you. We bought this because we like Simon Baker, but this film is poorly acted, poorly written, crude and frankly not very entertaining at all. Add to that that it is slow and tedious... what more can we say? You may have more fun doing your maths homework or filing a tax return.

As fans of The Mentalist my husband and I thought this would be a bit of fun. Instead, we were embarrassed, barely laughed and squirmed. One particular scene far from being amusing us had us holding our breath in horror at what was apparently going to happen.
