I am so disappointed with this kit. The box itself is a very badly constructed item - I'm a fit and healthy adult and still struggle to open and close the latch.
Once opened the tray that sits in the top is incredibly flimsy. The only good thing I can say about it is that it does sit in the top and doesn't drop into the box itself.
As for the sewing items - well, I wouldn't use anything out of the box except for the buttons and only then if I was totally stuck!
The pincushion is quite sweet but to be honest there isn't a single item in this kit I am happy to let my daughter use as none of the items look safe. Very sad considering it was for her birthday. In fact it was all so badly made I am contacting Amazon to see if I can get my money back.
Do not buy this item - you will be very disappointed if you do. It's massively overpriced, use the cash you would have paid and buy the essentials piece by piece - you'll save money and get decent quality items. Everything in this set it total rubbish. I would have given it zero stars if it had been possible!
